Misc Info:
Olivares, 40 years old as of 2003, began off and on boxing in about 1994.
Olivares got into the sport for the workout. She had one amateur
fight, and turned pro due to her age. Olivares joined the Fire
department as a Fire Fighter Paramedic about the same time as getting into
boxing, and was at the academy for six months. At the time the Fire
Department had a boxing team for the "911 games." Olivares started training
but was too old to participate.
