“Salute To America’s Heroes” Boxing Card
(AUG 10, 2005) Last night in Camp Pendleton,
California, Heather Donoho, 113, defeated
Marisol Miranda in a six-round Majority decision. Final judges
scores were 60-54, 58-56 and 57-57.
Also, Julio Diaz of Mexico KO’d
Russell Stoner Jones in the first round. Diaz, now 32-3-0 (24KO), just took
less than two minutes (1:59) to stop Jones. Jones, now 19-12-0 (14KO),
got hit with a heavy left hook to the right eye. Diaz told local news
sources, "I wasn't surprised it ended so quickly". Butterbean won his
four rounder that was a special feature on the card. Copyright photos
